Rare 2/9/64 The Beatles Signed Dress Rehearsal Schedule from The Ed Sullivan Show – Autographed by All 4 – Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison & Ringo Starr
Television history was rocked on February 9th, 1964 as a record setting 73 million people tuned in to see The Beatles step onto Ed Sullivan’s stage. At the time, several Beatles hits were on the airwaves and many were already #1 on the charts.
Presented from that historic day is a 4×6 portion of the original dress rehearsal schedule that evening for the Ed Sullivan Show. It was signed on the back by all 4 members in pencil of The Beatles – John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr (with the awesome inscription “Beatles”). The autographs were obtained personally by the seller’s late sister-in-law who was working back-stage for the telecast. The delicate page has compacting folds – it’s inact there’s no tape on the folds holding it together. However there’s some preservation tape and the front bottom – not distracting the signatures – the reverse showcases some details of the historic program. The piece is being further preserved in an acid free holder.
